OperationThe DNA is inserted into the gel on top of the tank and an electric current is applied. The positive charge will be applied at the end of the tank. Therefore, the positive charge pulls the DNA to the end of the reservoir. The smallest part will move faster than the largest. Therefore, they will be arranged from smallest to largest.
