Masimo has announced the limited edition 'W1' health watch to consumers on the market. The watch is designed to provide continuous monitoring of multiple health parameters – including oxygen saturation (SpO2), pulse rate, perfusion index, PVi (fluid response index), and respiratory rate, along with step counting and fall detection.
For the limited-to-market version of the W1, Masimo is inviting a select group of early adopters to help evaluate and improve the product over the coming months. The company will provide up to 10,000 hours of W1 on a first-come-first-served basis, at a 50% discount, to users who agree to program details and for providing feedback and data to Masimo. For additional information and to express interest in the program, consumers can register by visiting the link www.masimo.com/w1.
With this consumer version of the W1, Massimo says it's bringing its expertise in medical monitoring, connectivity, and automation to consumers looking to take control of their personal health, including those who want to fine-tune their exercise and recovery, sleep quality, and general physiological state.
Paired via Bluetooth secure technology with the Masimo Personal Health smartphone app, the W1 delivers continuous health data and advice with hitherto unknown accuracy in a wrist-based device, unlocking purposeful, actionable insights in the form of a wristwatch.
